A well-established and growing chilled food manufacturer is looking to appoint an experienced NPD Manager to lead product development activity across a fast-paced and customer-focused operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and highly organised food professional to take ownership of the NPD function within a business supplying innovative chilled products into major retail and foodservice channels.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, the NPD Manager will be responsible for managing the development process from concept through to launch, ensuring products are delivered on time, within specification and aligned to customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage NPD projects from concept to launch
- Work closely with customers, commercial teams and manufacturing operations
- Manage customer briefs and ensure critical paths are achieved
- Coordinate factory trials, product submissions and launch activity
- Monitor food trends, market activity and innovation opportunities
- Ensure all product documentation and specifications are completed accurately
- Support continuous improvement and innovation across the product range
- Manage and develop members of the NPD team
Requirements
- Previous experience within chilled food manufacturing
- Proven background within NPD or Product Development
- Experience managing retailer accounts and customer relationships
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Team management experience would be advantageous
