The Programme Manager will be a member of ASE's central PMO team. With a focus on our UK projects, the role involves overseeing multiple large-scale solar power projects, implementing processes, monitoring and reporting progress to the Head of PMO and CEO. The Programme Manager will work to improve organisational performance, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and that real-time information is available to internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Work with the wider PMO team to improve and implement a program management plan that outlines objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budget for the programme.
- Oversee planning, implementation, and monitoring of multiple projects to ensure program goals and objectives are achieved.
- Ensure projects comply with good engineering practices, company policies, procedures, governance, regulations and codes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct evaluations of program effectiveness and implement improvements as necessary.
- Facilitate communication between different departments and external service providers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assess and manage changes to the program scope, schedule, and resources, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Assist the ASE UK Managing Director with supervising the team's adherence to the program and schedule.
- Provide leadership to the UK's project managers and teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
- Track and measure the benefits delivered by the program, ensuring they align with the original objectives.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in programme or project management within the UK solar energy industry.
- Strong process orientation and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse and international environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Awareness of relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements, with the ability to review and interpret legal documents.
- Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills with the ability to build good relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience using programme management tools and software; prior experience with SmartSheet is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to align programme objectives with the organisation's overall strategy while maintaining attention to detail.
- Capacity to anticipate future challenges and opportunities, planning proactively to ensure long-term programme success.
