Senior Project Manager / Program Manager – Ampstek
The Sr. Project Manager/Program Manager will lead complex, multi-project programs in the telecom domain, specifically within the wholesale line of business. This role combines strong technical expertise with program management skills to ensure successful delivery of large‑scale IT transformation initiatives for global telecom clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end‑to‑end delivery of strategic programs involving OSS/BSS systems and wholesale processes.
- Define program scope, technical architecture alignment, timelines, and success metrics.
- Collaborate with solution architects and engineering teams to ensure technical integrity; review designs, integration plans, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Act as the primary technical and delivery interface for client leadership, manage expectations and ensure alignment between business and technical objectives.
- Establish governance frameworks, track KPIs, ensure adherence to SLAs, conduct regular program reviews and executive‑level reporting.
- Identify technical and delivery risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage program budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
- Mentor technical leads and delivery managers for performance excellence.
- Drive adoption of Agile/DevOps practices and automation initiatives; implement best practices for delivery efficiency and quality improvement.
Required Skills & Experience
- Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of telecom wholesale processes – interconnect, roaming, carrier billing, settlements, and partner management.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of OSS/BSS systems, mediation, rating, billing platforms, APIs, and integration frameworks; exposure to cloud‑native architectures, microservices and containerization.
- Program Management: 12+ years of IT delivery experience, with at least 5 years in technical program management, and a proven track record of managing multi‑million‑dollar programs.
- Certifications: PMP, SAFe or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent stakeholder management and executive‑level communication skills; ability to manage global delivery teams and vendors.
- Tools & Methodologies: Proficiency in Agile, DevOps, ITIL practices and experience with Jira, MS Project and other program management tools.
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- MBA or equivalent business qualification is a plus.
