Professional Summary

Seasoned and proactive 3rd Line Production DBA with over 9 years of experience in

managing mission-critical database environments. Proven expertise in backup and

recovery, disaster recovery planning, performance tuning, and high availability solutions

across Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL platforms. Adept at supporting large-scale

enterprise systems in both on-premise and cloud-based infrastructures. Strong analytical

skills, customer-facing experience, and a passion for optimizing database performance and

reliability.

Core Competencies

 Database Administration: Oracle 11g/12c/19c, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis

 Backup & Recovery: RMAN, logical/physical backups, PITR, snapshot-based backups

 Disaster Recovery: Oracle Data Guard, PostgreSQL streaming replication, MySQL

replication, cloud-native DR solutions

 Performance Tuning: AWR/ASH analysis, SQL tuning, indexing strategies, partitioning,

query optimization

 High Availability: RAC, GoldenGate, Always-On, replication clusters, failover testing

 Cloud Platforms: AWS RDS, Azure Database Services, OCI

 Monitoring & Automation: OEM, Nagios, Prometheus, custom scripts (Shell, Python)

 Security & Compliance: User access control, auditing, encryption, patching

 Incident & Change Management: ITIL-aligned processes, RCA, change planning,

stakeholder communication

Key Responsibilities

 Lead 3rd line support for production databases, ensuring 24×7 availability and rapid

incident resolution.

 Design and implement disaster recovery strategies and conduct regular DR drills.

 Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and provide long-term fixes.

 Optimize database performance through AWR analysis, SQL tuning, and resource

monitoring.

 Manage database upgrades, patching, and migrations with minimal downtime.

 Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and

performance.

 Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine DBA tasks and monitoring.

 Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior DBAs and support teams.
