Location: Hybrid - weekly presence required in Milton Keynes, Peterborough, Rushden or Boston office
As a Retrofit & Asset Surveyor at Amplius, you'll carry out stock condition surveys and retrofit assessments across our homes, providing accurate, high-quality data that drives compliance, investment planning and decarbonisation. Your reliable, retrofit-ready insights will support delivery of the Decent Homes Standard, achievement of EPC Band C by 2030, and our long-term net zero goals.
Your week: 36.25 (Mon-Fri 9am-5.15pm)
Snapshot of your role:
- Carry out stock condition surveys of domestic properties, collecting accurate mandatory data to meet the Decent Homes Standard.
- Undertake PAS 2035 retrofit assessments, capturing EPC, fabric, heating and improvement opportunities to support retrofit planning.
- Identify defects and hazards including damp, mould and HHSRS Category 1 hazards, escalating immediately where required.
- Contribute to mid- and post-works inspections on planned investment programmes, especially Amber/Red contracts.
- Ensure surveys are completed right-first-time, processed accurately and uploaded promptly into asset systems.
- Engage professionally with residents during survey visits, explaining purpose and promoting confidence in Amplius services.
What we're looking for:
- HNC or equivalent in Building/Surveying discipline.
- Experience conducting stock condition surveys in residential properties.
- Experience inspecting completed maintenance works.
- Strong understanding of Decent Homes, HHSRS and Awaabs Law.
- Ability to manage workload and travel independently.
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
- Strong technical surveying and diagnostic skills.
Desirable:
- Qualified Retrofit Assessor or willingness to achieve within 12 months.
- Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification or willingness to achieve.
- Experience capturing and retrofit-ready datasets.
- Knowledge of PAS 2035 and energy performance assessment.
- Knowledge of housing asset investment planning.
- A full UK driving licence, access to own car and willingness to travel to remote sites is required.
