Head of Repairs
Location: Hybrid, with a weekly presence in either our Milton Keynes, Rushden or Peterborough office.
Contract: Permanent, full time.
Salary: £85,521 per year (plus car user allowance).
Working hours: 36.25 hours (Monday to Friday 8:45am – 5pm).
Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level.
Employment type: Full‑time.

Snapshot of your role
- Collaborate with senior management, Heads of Service, and Regional Directors to shape service delivery and organisational priorities.
- Oversee the delivery of repairs and maintenance, managing contractors, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement effective resourcing strategies, including apprenticeships and professional development, to support business growth.
- Ensure budgets, cash flow, and financial controls are accurately managed and aligned with business plans.
- Analyse KPIs, customer feedback, and complaints to maintain service quality and take corrective action where needed.
- Implement health and safety policies, ensure legal compliance, and manage risk across all operations.
What we’re looking for
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience, with senior‑level experience in a maintenance organisation.
- Experience managing a large remote team and delivering cost‑effective operational services.
- Strong understanding of health and safety, risk compliance, and budget management.
- Interest in housing and empathy with the aims of Amplius.
- Ability to empower and engage colleagues, inspire confidence and trust, and adapt to change.
- Personable, flexible, and able to apply operational and strategic thinking to achieve better outcomes.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
