Head of Repairs

Location: Hybrid – Milton Keynes, Rushden or Peterborough. Salary: £85,521 per year (plus car user allowance). Contract: Permanent, full time. Hours: 36.25 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:45am-5pm).

Snapshot of your role

• Collaborate with senior management, Heads of Service, and Regional Directors to shape service delivery and organisational priorities.
• Oversee the delivery of repairs and maintenance, managing contractors, monitoring performance, and driving continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement effective resourcing strategies, including apprenticeships and professional development, to support business growth.
• Ensure budgets, cash flow, and financial controls are accurately managed and aligned with business plans.
• Analyse KPIs, customer feedback, and complaints to maintain service quality and take corrective action where needed.
• Implement health and safety policies, ensure legal compliance, and manage risk across all operations.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience, with senior-level experience in a maintenance organisation.
• Experience managing a large remote team and delivering cost-effective operational services.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, risk compliance, and budget management.
• Interest in housing and empathy with the aims of Amplius.
• Ability to empower and engage colleagues, inspire confidence and trust, and adapt to change.
• Personable, flexible, and able to apply operational and strategic thinking to achieve better outcomes.

Additional requirements: A full UK driving licence is essential. We do not provide visa sponsorship; you must be eligible to work in the UK and reside in the UK for the duration of employment.
