Are you a qualified and experienced Electrician looking for steady, varied work? Join Amplius and carry out electrical testing, repairs, rewires and upgrades across our homes. You will work in domestic properties, deliver safe and compliant installations, and provide a reliable service our customers can trust, as part of a supportive and professional team.
We are looking for qualified, experienced electricians. This isn't a trainee position - it's best suited to those who already have the skills and experience to get started confidently.
Salary: £41,000 per year
Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week: 39 hours across Monday to Friday. Flexible rota between 8:30am and 6pm with the option of a 9-day fortnight (full details will be discussed at interview)
Snapshot of your role:
- Carry out electrical testing, inspections, and certification safely in domestic properties.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, sockets, EV systems, Solar PV, ventilation, and PAT testing.
- Undertake re-wires, kitchen and bathroom improvements, and space heating installations.
- Complete associated plumbing and minor building works linked to electrical jobs.
- Make good any damage caused during works and carry out plastering or finishing as required.
- Keep tools, equipment, and van well-maintained and safely stored.
- Use tablets and electronic systems to record work, update progress, and help organise follow-on jobs.
Your toolkit for success:
- Qualified to 18th Edition (City & Guilds 2382, BS7671) and 2391 or NVQ equivalent, with relevant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience delivering electrical installations, upgrades, and testing in domestic properties.
- Skilled in re-wires, new installations, and upgrade projects.
- Experience working in both occupied and empty homes, with a customer-focused approach.
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, at height, and in confined spaces.
- Able to plan, organise, and prioritise work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
- Understand Health and Safety obligations and follow procedures consistently.
- Confident using electronic certification systems, tablets, and completing accurate paperwork.
- A full UK driving licence and DBS clearance are both essential requirements for to carry out this role.
