As an Independent Living Advisor at Amplius, you’ll play a vital role in helping customers live safely and independently in their own homes. You’ll carry out person‑centred assessments, recommend practical solutions such as minor adaptations and assistive technology, and provide trusted advice to reduce risks and improve wellbeing, making a real, positive difference to people’s quality of life.
Salary: £33,634.43 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Your week: 36.25 hours (Monday to Friday 8:45am – 5:00pm with a 1-hour break)
Location: Hybrid working with a weekly presence in our Boston office with regular travel in the community.
Snapshot of Your Role:
- Support customers to live safely and independently at home through personalised, person‑centred assessments.
- Recommend and arrange minor adaptations (e.g. grab rails, steps) to reduce risk and prevent falls.
- Provide clear advice on independent living solutions, assistive technology, and accident prevention.
- Signpost and refer customers to internal services, local authorities, health partners, and voluntary organisations.
- Advise on and help access financial support, grants, and welfare or hardship funding where appropriate.
- Manage a varied caseload, maintaining accurate records and evidencing outcomes and value for money.
- Work closely and build strong relationships with customers, families, contractors, and partner agencies across local areas.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience of completing person‑centred assessments and offering advice and support to customers.
- Demonstrate confident and competent use of digital devices (smart phones, tablets, and laptops etc.), applications, ICT software and systems e.g., Microsoft Office.
- Strong administrative skills to maintain accurate customer records.
- Experience working both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to plan and manage workload with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of GDPR and customer confidentiality.
- A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
- This position requires an Enhanced with Barred Lists DBS check.
