In our Assistant People Partner role, you’ll be playing a key role in delivering high-quality HR support across the organisation. You’ll work closely with People Partners on employee relations casework, organisational change, and accurate reporting to help shape a positive workplace culture.
Location: Hybrid, with a weekly presence in either our Rushden, Peterborough, Boston or Milton Keynes office
Your week: 36.25 hours p/week (8.45am – 5pm Monday to Friday, with 1-hour lunch)
Snapshot of your role
This is what your day will look like as our Assistant People Partner:
- Act as first point of contact for People Partnering queries, including references, flexible working requests, and general HR advice.
- Support People Partners in managing employee relations casework such as disciplinary, grievance, capability, and performance matters.
- Attend and take accurate notes at investigations and formal hearings, providing full administrative support throughout.
- Prepare documentation for casework including investigation packs, outcome letters, and consultation materials.
- Manage a personal caseload of Stage 1 and Stage 2 short-term absence cases and all family leave cases.
- Produce accurate casework and absence reports for capacity planning and senior leadership use.
