Job Title: Operations Coordinator Location: Burnley Salary: Circa Β£30,000–£35,000 depending on experience Are you the person who sees what needs doing β€” and just gets it done? Are you organised, switched-on and comfortable juggling multiple priorities? Do you take ownership, solve

problems

and get things done without needing to be chased? If so, this could be

a great opportunity

to join a growing specialist business where

what you do genuinely matters

. About Us: Our client was founded in 1994, they are

a specialist pipeline services contractor

operating

across the UK and mainland Europe. They provide pipe freezing, hot tapping, line stopping and pipework intervention services to clients including the NHS, major food manufacturers,

utilities

and arenas. They are

a family-owned, hands-on business with an experienced leadership team and they are

growing. This is so much more than a coordinator role... We're

looking for someone to take ownership of the operational engine room of the business.

You'll

make sure jobs are booked, engineers are scheduled, paperwork is completed, materials are available, equipment is ready and nothing falls through the cracks.

You'll

be dealing directly with clients, engineers,

suppliers

and subcontractors, helping keep everything moving from the

initial

booking through to job completion.

Most importantly, this role has real progression built into it. As APS grows, the aim is for this position to develop into an

O

perations

Manager role.

We'll

formally review your performance, responsibilities,

title

and salary at six months.

This

isn't

an automatic promotion;

you'll

need to earn it, but

we're

looking for someone ambitious who wants to take increasing responsibility and grow with the business.

You'll

be responsible for

: Booking and coordinating jobs and liaising with clients

Scheduling engineers and resources

Acting as the main point of contact for engineers in the field

Creating jobs from successful quotes

Coordinating RAMS, permits, site

inductions

and compliance paperwork

Maintaining training,

vehicle

and personnel records

Chasing job reports,

photos

and signed paperwork

Ordering materials,

equipment

and consumables

Booking travel, hotels and hire equipment

Coordinating workshop requirements,

servicing

and repairs

Managing engineer holidays and subcontractors

Supporting the day-to-day running of the office

The Ideal person: We're

more interested in attitude, character and potential than a perfect CV.

You'll

be someone who: Takes ownership and sees things through

Spots problems before they become problems

Is organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities

Finds solutions rather than simply raising problems

Is confident dealing with clients,

engineers

and suppliers

Can work independently without constant supervision

Is commercially aware,

curious

and keen to understand how the business works

Has the confidence to deal with experienced tradespeople

Is ambitious and genuinely wants to progress into management

We're

a busy,

direct

and plain-speaking business. We need someone who can get stuck in and who thinks: "If it's my responsibility, I'll sort it." rather than:

"That's not my job."

It's

not essential but we would love someone who has: Experience in

operations, coordination, engineering, construction, manufacturing, facilities,

logistics

or a similar environment

would be useful.

Experience with

H&S paperwork, RAMS or compliance documentation

is an advantage, as is exposure to NHS, healthcare estates,

utilities

or engineering.

However,

we're

open-minded about your background.

We're

hiring for potential,

attitude

and capability as well as experience.

If

you're

organised, ambitious and ready to take ownership,

we'd

like to hear from you. This could be the start of something much bigger than an Operations Coordinator job.
