This role
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to come and join our growing Amplify Technical team. This will be someone who challenges what we do daily and thrives working in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines helping us build forward for the future.
Responsibilities
- Commission and configure AC, Rapid DC, and HPC EV chargers at client premises; perform initial setup and testing to verify proper functionality and adherence to industry regulations.
- Execute scheduled and preventative maintenance on EV charging infrastructure to maximize reliability and availability; identify and resolve technical faults involving electrical, mechanical, and software elements.
- Deliver hands‑on technical assistance and training to clients regarding EV charger usage and functionality; address service calls efficiently while keeping clients informed to enhance satisfaction.
- Comply fully with safety protocols and company guidelines during field operations; maintain alignment with local electrical standards and codes in all commissioning and maintenance work.

Proven Track Record
- Proficiency with fundamental test and measurement tools, including multimeters and voltage testers.
- Expertise in diagnosing and resolving intricate technical faults.
- Prior experience in field service, ideally within EV charging, renewable energy, or power electronics industries (desirable).
- Practical experience commissioning, maintaining, and repairing AC, Rapid DC, and HPC EV chargers (desirable).
Requirements
- Full UK Driving License (Maximum 3 points).
- Level 3 Electro‑technical qualification or equivalent.
- Relevant electrical certifications, such as 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and City & Guilds 2391/2394 for Testing and Inspection desirable.
