Product Marketing Analyst
Department: Product Marketing
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Manchester, UK
Reporting To: Rachel Tonner
Compensation: £70,000 – £80,000 / year
Description
As a Product Marketing Analyst, you’ll be the analytical heartbeat of the Product Marketing & Enablement (PM&E) team — turning data, insight, and feedback into actionable intelligence that sharpens Amplience’s product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market effectiveness.
You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to identify market opportunities, track competitive movements, analyse performance, and provide the insights that help shape both strategy and execution.
This role is ideal for someone who loves digging into data, storytelling with insight, and translating complexity into clarity.
Key Responsibilities
Competitive Intelligence & Market Analysis
- Own Amplience’s competitive landscape monitoring. Track product capabilities, pricing models, and market trends to inform positioning and messaging frameworks.
- Maintain and evolve competitive battlecards, win/loss summaries, and trend reports for product marketing, sales and product teams.
- Track usage and performance of Sales Enablement assets — including content utilisation, engagement, and win rate impact.
- Partner with Copywriter and PMM to turn win/loss data into customer narratives and competitive stories.
Product & Launch Analytics
- Measure the performance of launches and product marketing initiatives, including feature adoption, website analytics for product and solution pages, and engagement with enablement assets.
- Work with various stakeholders to build dashboards and share insights that connect marketing and product performance.
Customer & Product Feedback Loop
- Partner with Product to synthesize customer feedback, NPS data, and usage metrics into actionable insights that influence roadmap and prioritisation.
- Identify recurring themes that signal opportunity or risk.
Persona & Market Validation
- Support persona development through data and research — validating audience segments, use cases, and vertical opportunities.
Insight Communication
- Present findings clearly and visually to stakeholders, creating concise, actionable insight packs for PM&E, Product, and Sales leadership.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Work hand-in-hand with Product Marketing Manager to feed insights into launch planning, positioning updates, and content priorities.
- Partner with the Copywriter and Designer to inform messaging and creative direction with data-led evidence.
What You’ll Bring (Skills, Experience & Mindset)
Experience & Technical Skills
- 2–4 years’ experience in product marketing, market intelligence, or data analysis — ideally in a B2B SaaS, martech, or ecommerce environment.
- Proficiency with data and analytics tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Analytics, G2, Power BI, Tableau, Mouseflow, or Looker).
- Proficient with tools such as Gainsight, Monday, Salesforce, Confluence, Jira, Miro, and Microsoft Workspace.
- Demonstrated ability to turn quantitative and qualitative data into insight-driven recommendations.
- Strong understanding of competitive analysis, market segmentation, and customer journey analytics.
- Skilled in data visualisation and storytelling — able to make insights accessible and actionable for non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with SEO, web analytics, and content performance metrics (helpful for analysing product marketing website and asset performance).
- Experience gathering and synthesising customer feedback (NPS, G2, interviews, win/loss, usage telemetry) into concise summaries.
- Comfort managing and maintaining internal knowledge dashboards or competitive intelligence repositories.
- Familiarity with MACH and Composable space, CMS, Personalization or DXP platforms or similar.
Mindset & Attributes
- Curious and commercially minded: you want to know not just what happened, but why — and what we should do next.
- Structured and detail-oriented: you’re meticulous with data accuracy, but able to step back and see the bigger narrative.
- Collaborative by default: you thrive in cross-functional environments, working fluidly with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Design.
- Communicative and confident: you can explain complex findings clearly and influence decisions with data-backed arguments.
- Adaptable and proactive: you enjoy working in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly.
- Mission-driven: you care about helping Amplience deliver on its vision — redefining how content powers commerce through insight and intelligence.
What Success Looks Like
- PM&E and Product teams rely on your dashboards, battlecards, and reports as the single source of truth for market and performance insight.
- Product launches and messaging updates are grounded in evidence, not assumption. You can clearly demonstrate how your insight has influenced a change in positioning, roadmap, or enablement focus.
- Stakeholders across Product, Sales, and Marketing cite your work as critical to understanding “what’s working” and “what’s next.”
