Amphora Aromatics, a leading UK supplier of pure essential oils and aromatherapy products, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team in Bristol.
In this role, you will specialise in picking and packing customer orders with a focus on high-precision packing to Dangerous Goods (DG) standards, while also supporting general warehouse operations and occasionally assisting in our production area. Duties will vary depending on daily workloads and may include:
- Picking items from stock and packing orders securely for dispatch, ensuring compliance with DG regulations for hazardous materials
- Preparing shipments of dangerous goods, including accurate labeling, documentation, and packaging to meet legal and safety requirements
- Receiving, checking, and putting away incoming deliveries
- Moving stock around the warehouse (forklift experience is essential)
- Assisting with basic production tasks, such as bottling or labelling
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all areas
- Performing end-of-day cleaning and tidying to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment
Due to the nature of our products, which may include hazardous substances, cleanliness, attention to hygiene, and strict adherence to safety protocols are absolutely essential.
We are looking for a flexible team player with excellent time management skills and a positive attitude. Candidates must demonstrate awareness of high-precision packing to DG standards and be capable of preparing dangerous goods shipments, with existing qualifications (e.g., IATA, IMDG, and/or ADR certification) or the ability and willingness to undertake relevant training courses (full support and training will be provided). Basic computer literacy is required for order processing, stock management, and DG documentation. Experience operating a forklift truck is essential. All other training will be given on the job, and there are opportunities for progression for those who demonstrate initiative and potential.
