We are offering a part-time internship where you will be working with a team of experienced developers to build a web-based product on React Native. Pay will be around 400 pounds a month depending on experience. At Amphere, we are looking for individuals that love music and are motivated to create and design. They should also be passionate about engineering, software development, and creating better interfaces and experiences for users. We are creating a web app platform for musicians and music venues to better connect with each other and eliminate the everyday hassle of organizing gigs and events by hand. As part of an up-and-coming startup company, you will be key to providing feedback towards our products and how we run our software development team, thus making an impactful change for the better towards the vision and future of Amphere.
Responsibilities
- As a backend developer, you will be responsible for developing the middle- to back-end logic and algorithms of our web app.
- This includes connecting our web app to our cloud database, querying and updating data on the database, processing data from users’ input, and developing the page redirecting logic of the web app.
- Your work will be the direct key to the success of the Amphere platform and will be used by millions of musicians and venues across the UK.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Comfortable with using the Python language
- Basic knowledge and understanding of non-relational databases
Preferred Knowledge and Experience
- Developing websites and web apps using some form of REST API
- Using Google’s Firebase non-relational database API
- Using Google’s Firebase Storage API
