The Vacancy:
We are recruiting for a HR Assistant to join our team and provide HR support to circa 300 colleagues and managers. You will act as the key partner to the HRIS (Dayforce) ensuring it fully supports the business and colleagues as required.
Duties and responsibilities include: β
- Maintaining and updating employee records in the HRIS platform, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, assisting in system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting issues
- Support HRIS training for HR team members and end-users. Developing the HRIS to fully support the business and colleagues
- Provide administrative support for recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
- Takes responsibility for sourcing, inducting and managing temporary agency colleagues, including liaising with agencies and organising & completing assessments
- Conducting recruitment process for manufacturing based colleagues
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes using technology and support automation initiatives for HR workflows
- Monitors absence through the HRIS. Completes absence related disciplinary hearing and maintains the HR Log with long term absence info
- Finalises leaver administration and conducts exit interviews / reviews exit interview questionnaires. Raises any concerns for further investigation
Essential criteria: β
Qualifications
- GCSE, or equivalent, in English and Maths Grade C or above
Experience
- Experienced administrator
- Employee and/or customer engagement
- Experience working within a busy office environment, maintaining systems and processes
Technical Knowledge
- Microsoft Office packages
- HRIS system experience
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work to tight deadlines, and on multiple tasks at one time
- Approachable
- Strong IT skills and IT is an area of interest/passion
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Desirable: β
- Experience working in a generalist HR environment
- Employment law knowledge
- HRIS β Dayforce experience
- Knowledge of best practice in specific HR areas β recruitment and selection, absence management, capability, disciplinary and grievance, etc
