I am currently working with a technology company in Birmingham that due to its continued success is looking to add a Senior Power Electronics Engineer focused on Gate Drives to its team of world-class engineers.

As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer, you will develop state-of-the-art power electronics systems and components for different industries including rail, EV, and renewable energies, but this role will be focused on Gate Drives for traction applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Circuit design, simulation, and test verification of Gate Drives and Power semiconductors.
  • Design and development of Gate Driver boards.
  • Hardware circuit analysis, including FMEDA, FTAs, diagnostic coverage analysis, DFMEA, DRBFM reliability analysis, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Gate Driver board debugging and double pulse testing.
  • Power supply design — Push-Pull, Flyback, and LLC power supplies.
