Ampere Recruitment is supporting a leading engineering organisation operating within the defence and advanced technology sector. Due to continued growth and project demand, they are looking to appoint a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their highly skilled engineering team.

The Opportunity
As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and development of advanced electronic systems, supporting next-generation products within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. You will be involved in a broad range of technologies, including power conversion and high-speed communication systems, with the opportunity to take ownership of projects and influence design direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop innovative electronic and electrical systems
- Take ownership of new product development, from concept through to delivery
- Work on novel designs, balancing innovation with risk management
- Ensure designs meet LVD and EMC compliance requirements
- Develop requirements specifications and test procedures
- Support system-level integration and validation
- Collaborate across engineering, operations, purchasing, and other business units
- Lead or contribute to project activities where required
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Electronics Engineering (or related discipline), or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in full lifecycle electronic design (concept → production → end-of-life)
- Strong background in DC/DC power conversion
- Experience with mixed-signal design
- Knowledge of microprocessor-based systems
- Understanding of PCB layout principles
- Experience with communication protocols such as: I2C, SPI, RS485, CAN, Ethernet
