Full-time/Hybrid: 3 days per week in office. Ampere Analysis is a research and analytics firm focusing on the film, TV, sports, advertising and games sectors. Ampere works with an extensive range of media and communications companies, including Hollywood studios, public broadcasting groups, online video providers, pay TV operators, video game developers and publishers, and sport governing bodies and rightsholders. We are seeking an experienced in-house Editor to lead editorial output across our research portfolio, in the Media, Games, Advertising and Sports industries. In coordination with Ampere’s divisional leads, you will set editorial strategy and work with the analyst teams to drive output and ensure clarity, authority, and impact in Ampere’s editorial output. You will play a central role in shaping editorial focus, style, workflow, output and evolving editorial skills across the analyst community and setting the standards that define our voice across the industry.

Editorial Responsibilities
  • Set and implement an editorial vision: Be the force behind Ampere’s editorial output—work with Ampere leadership to set company-wide editorial strategy and drive output and quality.
  • Support and train the next generation of analysts: Design and deliver editorial training for analysts at all levels, covering clear writing, report structuring, executive summaries, and communicating quantitative data to non-technical readers.
  • Work across Ampere teams: Provide regular one-to-one developmental feedback to help analysts improve the clarity and persuasiveness of their written work.
  • Set editorial standards: Serve as the internal authority on editorial standards, acting as first point of contact for writing and style queries across the company.
  • Build credibility and authority: Foster a culture in which strong writing is recognised as integral to the company’s credibility and commercial reputation in the industry.
  • Work as needed on Ampere’s free weekly newsletter The Amp.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop an editorial plan, working with Ampere’s teams to identify the types of editorial output driving engagement, ideal volumes of output, and the optimal tone/focus of pieces.
  • Edit a regular flow of reports produced by Ampere’s analyst teams ensuring consistent style and quality.
  • Enforce a rigorous approach to report content, and the analysis within.
  • Coordinate with the editorial leads in each team to manage the flow of reports and insights, ensuring that key topics are being addressed in a timely manner, and liaising with divisional leads to overcome roadblocks.
  • Manage the editorial calendar, coordinating publication schedules with research leads to align with industry events, regulatory cycles, and client deadlines.
  • Work with analysts from early draft stage to sharpen argument structure, improve narrative, and ensure complex media data is translated into compelling, readable findings.
  • Ensure that output is of high quality, is appropriate for media industry professionals, and can be consumed by a diverse range of readers from research experts to strategy personnel to c-level executives.
Skills & Experiences
  • Substantial editorial experience in a media, publishing, broadcasting, or media research environment.
  • Strong familiarity with the media market – with demonstrable understanding of TV & Film, Sports and Gaming.
  • Proven ability to work with data-rich, analytical narratives designed for senior industry audiences.
  • Excellent command of written English, with a sharp instinct for clarity, tone, and structure.
  • Experience developing or maintaining editorial standards and style guides.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and publication deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
