Lead the technical evolution of a high-growth digital platform!
We’re looking for a Technical Web Development Lead to take ownership of the technical development, optimisation and evolution of Lime Solicitors’ digital platform.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of web development, cloud infrastructure, digital analytics, technical SEO, marketing technology and conversion optimisation.
You’ll play a key role in supporting an ambitious digital acquisition strategy, helping to build a faster, more flexible and more dynamic web platform that supports growth across paid search, organic search, local search, AI-driven discovery, video and digital enquiry journeys.
This isn’t simply a website rebuild.
You’ll be responsible for optimising the existing Word Press environment while progressively designing and implementing a modern, scalable future-state platform.
You’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine commercial impact, working closely with marketing specialists, lawyers, content teams and the contact centre to turn business and customer needs into effective digital experiences.
What will make you successful?
Over your first 12 months, you’ll help deliver a significant evolution of the Lime digital platform.
Success will include
- A secure, scalable and appropriately standalone web architecture.
- Continued optimisation of the existing Word Press environment without disrupting lead generation.
- A clear and proven phased transition to the future-state platform.
- Faster creation and deployment of landing pages and digital experiences.
- Improved website performance and page speed.
- Reliable server-side analytics and conversion tracking.
- Stronger attribution and offline conversion capabilities.
- Improved local search and location-page performance.
- Successful implementation of online chat and improved digital intake journeys.
- Measurable improvements in landing-page conversion.
- Stronger accessibility, usability and trust presentation.
- Technical foundations for AI search and video-led acquisition.
- Clear documentation, processes and governance that prevent unnecessary single-person dependency.
What you will be doing
- Web Development & Digital Platform
- Lead the technical evolution of the Lime Solicitors website into a modern, scalable and decoupled architecture.
- Work with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run and cloud-based deployment environments.
- Support the implementation of a headless CMS and flexible frontend architecture.
- Maintain and optimise the existing Word Press platform while the future-state environment is developed.
- Develop a phased transition roadmap, testing and validating new functionality before wider implementation.
- Build reusable components, templates and modular page structures that allow content teams to create and amend landing pages without constant developer intervention.
- Develop dynamic and interactive website experiences that improve engagement and conversion.
- Own website deployment, hosting, reliability, performance and release management.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain clear technical documentation.
- Analytics, Tracking & Marketing Technology
- Implement and maintain GA4 and server‑side Google Tag Manager.
- Develop server‑side tracking solutions to improve attribution and campaign optimisation.
- Build processes for capturing click identifiers and conversion data, including GCLID and equivalent identifiers.
- Support offline conversion imports and value‑based bidding.
- Create secure data workflows that allow estimated case values and conversion milestones to be passed to advertising platforms.
- Work across website, marketing and operational systems while respecting data access, security and compliance requirements.
- SEO, Search & Digital Growth
- Support technical SEO across the website, including site speed, indexing, structured content and landing‑page architecture.
- Improve local search visibility through Google Business Profiles, local landing pages and location‑based SEO.
- Support Local Services Ads and associated technical and verification requirements.
- Help develop the technical foundations required for improved visibility across AI and generative search.
- Develop structured, semantic content and internal linking strategies that support modern search behaviour.
- Support video‑led acquisition through effective embedding, metadata, transcripts, captions and page structures.
- Conversion & Customer Experience
- Use behavioural analytics and conversion‑rate optimisation to identify opportunities to improve digital journeys.
- Test landing pages and reduce friction across key conversion points.
- Look beyond the website itself and consider the complete journey from ad click → landing page → form/call/chat → intake → conversion.
- Work with the contact centre to launch and optimise online chat, including routing, hand‑offs and operational processes.
- Build trust signals into key journeys through effective presentation of lawyer expertise, reviews, case studies and authoritative content.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusive UX principles are embedded across the platform.
- Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with lawyers, subject matter experts, paid marketing specialists, content teams and the contact centre.
- Translate commercial and customer requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Work collaboratively with Group IT, security and operational stakeholders.
- Ensure new technology is appropriately secure, documented and aligned with wider governance.
- Manage third‑party technical suppliers where required.
- Provide strong technical ownership while avoiding unnecessary single‑person dependency through documentation, reusable processes and knowledge sharing.
