An opportunity to play a key role in supporting the financial side of our partnership, delivering a high-quality service to our members. You'll join a dedicated Member Services team, where your partnership accounting experience will be valued and you'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, improve processes and develop your expertise within this specialist area of finance.

We can offer you:

  • The opportunity to continue to develop your knowledge of partnership finance.
  • A varied role covering partnership profits, capital, drawings, tax and distributions, with involvement across the full membership journey.
  • The chance to build trusted relationships with partners and colleagues across the business.
  • The opportunity to identify better ways of working and help improve processes across the partnership finance function.

About The Role

Our Member Services team supports the member/owners throughout their journey with the business, from joining the partnership through to retirement. Working closely with the Head of Member Services and wider member services team, you'll focus on the financial aspects of membership, helping ensure our members receive an accurate, responsive and trusted service.

This is a specialist role that calls for a good understanding of partnership accounting, rather than management or statutory accounting alone. You'll bring relevant experience, a methodical approach and the confidence to manage sensitive financial and personal information while responding to the varied needs of our members.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting all aspects of member financials, including capital, drawings, tax, profit share and distributions.
  • Supporting the member personal tax return and partnership tax return processes.
  • Supporting the member remuneration process.
  • Calculating member distributions and preparing member current accounts and statements.
  • Producing accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end and ad hoc financial reports.
  • Preparing and posting journals relating to partnership finance and the cost base.
  • Liaising with external providers, including tax accountants and external auditors.
  • Responding to member queries and communicating financial information clearly and professionally.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and streamline ways of working

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We're looking for someone with relevant partnership accounting experience takes pride in accuracy and understands the importance of confidentiality and providing a reliable service.

You’ll need:

  • Experience working within a partnership finance or partnership accounting function, with an understanding of partnership financials.
  • Strong numerical skills and a high level of accuracy, alongside intermediate or advanced Excel skills.
  • A methodical and organised approach, with the ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands and respond flexibly to changing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
  • A positive, proactive and can-do attitude, with a willingness to take ownership and contribute beyond the core requirements of the role.

An AAT or ATT qualification would be beneficial, but it's not essential. We're equally open to candidates who have gained the relevant partnership accounting experience through their work and can demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed for the role.
