The role
Our real estate energy team focus on innovative solutions to renewable energy and flexible energy generation. We have exciting growth plans, which will see us continuing to work with the best clients in, and beyond, the Midlands on the best projects.
We already have a strong team of qualified solicitors working within the team, and we are looking for a skillset beyond legal knowledge. The role is to manage and progress legal transactions for utility companies, with a large part of the role being project management and communication with numerous stakeholders who want to secure the utility connection. This is typically electricity, gas, heat and water connections, where legal rights are needed to install and keep the equipment in situ.
This market leading team has grown from strength to strength and we are looking for ambitious individuals to join us.
What you will be doing
- Providing paralegal support to the volume utilities team.
- Liaising with clients, and handling queries and enquiries where appropriate.
- Conducting all aspects of transactions and completing them to a high standard.
- Drafting and producing forms and transactional documentation.
What you will need
- The willingness and ability to learn the legal nature of these type of transactions. Largely this means ensuring that suitable property rights are granted to our clients to install and retain their equipment.
- The ability to manage volume transactions with good levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills. This is critical to the success of this role.
- A keen desire to learn and enhance your existing skills.
- The ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients alike.
- A desire to develop the knowledge and expertise of the team, as well as yourself.
- Finally, the mind-set to build a career in this sector.
