Marrons has grown rapidly over the past 5 years to become a top 15 UK planning consultancy, with a team of 50+ specialists across our regional hubs. We also provide complementary planning, socio-economic, heritage, masterplanning, landscape and architectural services.
The opportunity:
Our whole team are vital in helping to achieve our ambitions, helping to lead projects, build client relations and champion the Marrons brand. As a member of the Marrons team, you will continue to develop your career working collaboratively with colleagues within our multi-disciplinary consultancy. You will lead in the delivery of a range of projects across various sectors. This includes working on residential schemes, commercial, energy sector, leisure facilities and large SUE sites. There is also opportunity to become involved in planning appeal works if desired. Whilst we are currently a small team, we are seeing an exponential growth in workload. Alongside managing projects you’ll be responsible for mentoring the junior staff within the team and contributing to business development.
The key duties will be:
- Project lead from a transport planning perspective whether this be working alongside Marrons planning colleagues or external clients
- Reviewing Transport Assessments / Travel Plans / Feasibility Studies
- Providing high level advice to clients at project inception stage and through the duration of a scheme
- Attend client meetings and public consultations
- Contribute towards winning work
- Work collaboratively with in house Marrons specialist teams
You will need:
- Significant experience in the transport planning industry
- Excellent technical and design skills as well as report writing skills
- Relevant degree qualification in Transport Planning, Geography or Civil Engineering
- Use of AutoCAD, TRICS, JUNCTIONS and LINSIG modelling software is desirable
- Experience of planning appeals is desirable
