Are you a conveyancing paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to work with high-quality institutional clients? Are you looking to deepen your experience in real estate finance while being part of a supportive, specialist team? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-driven Paralegal to join our Real Estate Finance team, with a particular focus on Islamic Finance.
This is a chance to work at a top 50 law firm on interesting residential property transactions for leading financial institutions, in a role that offers responsibility and genuine development opportunities.
The Role
You will be part of a close-knit, collaborative team acting for Islamic finance institutions that provide home purchase and buy-to-let facilities to their customers. As these are Sharia-compliant facilities, customers are separately represented, and your role will focus on:
- Reviewing and assessing due diligence completed by customers' solicitors
- Managing transactions through to completion
- Ensuring matters progress efficiently, accurately and to a high standard
This role is ideally suited to a paralegal with experience in residential conveyancing, commercial conveyancing or real estate finance, who enjoys juggling multiple matters and working to deadlines.
What you will be doing:
- Managing your own caseload with a high level of autonomy
- Reviewing title and supporting legal documentation
- Drafting enquiries, correspondence and completion documentation
- Preparing reports and undertaking legal research where required
- Managing all aspects of the completion process
- Liaising professionally with clients, banks and firms of solicitors
- Proactively progressing matters and resolving issues as they arise
What you will need:
- Previous experience in a fee-earning role, ideally within residential conveyancing or real estate finance
- Technical understanding of the residential conveyancing process
- Experience handling a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced legal environment
- Confident using case management systems
- Highly organised, detail-focused and commercially aware
- A proactive team player with drive, enthusiasm and commitment
