We are seeking a Junior Buyer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in procurement activities, contribute to cost savings, and support supply chain operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in purchasing and supply chain management., * Collecting and analysing data to help predict trends and forecast sales figures.

  • Identifying quality standards and ensuring that all products meet those standards.

  • Negotiating with suppliers to agree prices, quantities, delivery schedules and exclusivity deals.

  • Working with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products.

  • Delivering reports on sales data, marketing activity and other metrics to the senior management team and other stakeholders.

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders following company policy.

  • Track and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

  • Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities.

  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities throughout the procurement and supply chain processes.

  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and new product developments within the interior fit-out industry.

  • Proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

  • Building Relationships: Establish and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial principles, including cost negotiation, budgeting, and value analysis.

  • Organization and Planning: Prioritise workloads effectively with a changing environment, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines consistently.

  • Problem-Solving: Identify and solve procurement challenges independently, whilst seeking guidance when necessary., * Relevant experience as a buying assistant / junior buyer or high-level administrator.

  • Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices.

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

  • Experience in using procurement software systems.

  • A meticulous and detail-oriented approach to work.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong Excel or database skills would be advantageous.
