Overview
We are working with a leading FinTech company to recruit a Backend Engineer for their growing team in London. The company produces AI-powered software that integrates with clients’ existing finance systems to identify payment risks and deliver actionable insights.
As a Backend Engineer, you will work on a variety of challenging tasks, including managing incoming data, collaborating with Data Scientists to analyse large datasets, and writing RESTful APIs in Django to support the front end.
This role offers lots of opportunities for innovation as you work closely with stakeholders to design and implement new features.
Responsibilities
- Implement robust and scalable solutions using Python.
- Develop and design REST APIs to efficiently deliver application components.
- Implement performance improvement strategies.
- Ensure the quality of code by writing comprehensive tests and participating in code reviews.
Requirements
- 2+ years of Python coding experience.
- Familiarity with Python, Django, and Django Rest Framework.
- Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
- Strong communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
