We have a fantastic opportunity for a
Transport Planner and Customer Service Advisor to join our Customer Service team on a fixed term contract for up to 15 months.

The role will involve
- Planning and coordinating all deliveries in line with customer orders, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely communication with customers and internal teams.
- Monitoring and managing driver hours, working closely with Driver Supervisors to ensure all drivers remain legally compliant with relevant Working Time Directive regulations.
- Planning and coordinating all store clean and product extractions, ensuring they are completed efficiently and in line with customer requirements and expectations.
- Working collaboratively with the Fleet Manager to coordinate vehicles for both planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs, ensuring Driver Supervisors are kept fully informed of the vehicle plan.
- Supporting the Customer Service team with inbound calls, sales order processing, pricing enquiries, customer complaints, and general enquiries, ensuring all interactions are handled professionally, politely, and courteously.
- Accessing, maintaining, and updating the CRM system as required, ensuring customer and operational information is accurate and up to date.
- Providing general administrative support to the Customer Service, Logistics, and Finance teams as and when required.
- What we are looking for
An individual experienced in working in a customer-facing administrative environment and to support in a fast moving and demanding operational environment.
Our successful candidate will also demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Experience of planning and coordinating vehicle movements, deliveries, or logistics activities in a fast-paced environment, balancing customer requirements, operational priorities, and available resources.
- Experience in handling customer enquiries, orders, complaints, and pricing queries while maintaining accurate records and using CRM or other business systems.
- A positive can-do attitude, with the ability to remain motivated, flexible, and proactive in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with experience in the effective planning and routing of HGV vehicles.
- Excellent communication skills with a professional manner when dealing with customers and key stakeholders, both by telephone and email.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of relevant HGV regulations and compliance requirements.
- Good knowledge of UK postcodes, geographical areas, and road networks, with the ability to use this knowledge effectively when planning and routing HGV vehicles.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with driver supervisors and drivers, gaining their support and cooperation while maintaining effective day-to-day operations.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when handling challenging or frustrated customers and colleagues, ensuring conversations are managed positively and effectively.
