- Traffic Operators, to join our long standing client based in
Southampton.
In this fantastic career opportunity, you'll join the team as a crucial component of the transport team, Responding to reactive haulage requests, supporting drivers, and ensuring a smooth operation.
This role requires heavy communication, as well as a precise attention to detail, as such you'll need to have great written and verbal communication, as well as being organised and precise.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily vehicle routes to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
- Monitor driver schedules and vehicle movements, responding quickly to delays or operational issues.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and maintain service levels.
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate transport records, booking information, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or traffic operator role preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with drivers, customers, and stakeholders.
- Good IT skills, including experience using transport management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of driver hours, vehicle compliance, and transport regulations would be advantageous.
We have two shifts available
- 8:30-18:00 Monday to Friday
- 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday
Salary
£30,000 to £36,00 Depending on Experience
