Our premium brand is known and respected for quality and reliability.

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Process Quality Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality, reliable Gas Control Valve (GCV) products in a regulated manufacturing environment. This is an opportunity to be at the heart of production, working closely with Operations, Engineering and Quality teams to drive right-first-time performance, solve real engineering challenges, and continuously improve how we build and test our products.

You'll have genuine ownership and visibility, acting as a trusted quality and process expert on the shop floor while contributing to longer-term improvements in standards, documentation, and manufacturing capability. If you enjoy combining technical problem-solving with collaboration and continuous improvement, this role offers variety, influence and the chance to make a tangible impact every day.

Purpose of the Role

The Process Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring robust Quality Control within Gas Control Valve (GCV) production and providing first-line manufacturing engineering support to maintain high product standards and reliable production flow.

Essential Functions/Duties

  • Quality Control Support: Deliver daily, hands-on Quality Control support for GCV production, monitoring RFT performance and resolving defects and line stoppages utilizing containment, temporary actions, and 8D methodology. Report daily on production cell quality performance, including line stop investigations and MRB decisions, and work with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction. Investigate customer returns (RMA/SIs) and supplier defect root causes, conduct or request material and dimensional analyses, provide feedback on production, and support incoming/finished goods non‑conformance inspections. Collaborate with Operations to produce mandatory documentation (e.g., EoMR, Declarations of Conformity) in line with ISO 9001, PED, and ATEX. Participate in internal, supplier or customer audits.
  • Production Build and Test Procedures: Develop, maintain, and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) processes for new and existing products. Train and support production staff on quality changes, new assembly and test procedures. Design, implement, and maintain production and test equipment such as jigs, fixtures, temperature tanks, and pressure testing systems.
  • Manufacturing Engineering Support: Act as the first point of contact for equipment issues and provide or coordinate technical support. Support routine maintenance according to business priorities. Support QA with calibration of gauges and measuring tools. Collaborate with the technical team to contribute to or prepare DFMEA and PFMEA studies. In accordance with internal Engineering change procedures, approve and assist in executing Engineering Change Orders (ECN/ECO) in the ERP system. Develop and maintain product manuals and instructional documents covering procedures, maintenance requirements, operating limitations, and safety information.
  • General Responsibilities: Comply with internal Quality procedures and standards. Maintain business and document management systems accurately. Follow all Health and Safety regulations.
