Job Description
Inside Technical Sales Representative
\n AMOT is a leading global manufacturer of control, safety and hazardous area solutions for engines, compressors, turbines and other rotating equipment in the oil and gas, marine, power generation and transport industries. \n
Purpose of the role;
\n Act as a primary contact for European Customers, Reps and Distributors to identify and follow up on leads that will increase sales, customer contact and customer satisfaction. \n The Inside Technical Sales person will primarily be responsible for identifying and following up on leads to better understand customer needs and potential future sales opportunities; providing technical and applications support; pricing and commercial decisions.
Primary communication will be phone, email, and in person when and if required.
They will also be responsible for supporting the external Business Development team and the Customer Service team. \n
- Key duties;
- Grow sales revenue

- Review new customer enquiries to identify and capture opportunities \n
- Follow up with customers directly to offer support, understand their market served and application \n
- Identifies target customers through customer database to solicit business using a consultative approach \n
- Handles special or unique customer enquiries requiring a deeper knowledge of product lines \n
- Handles inquiries from non-approved potential customers and helps move them through the evaluation and approval process \n
- Where appropriate, pass leads to the Business Development Team and monitor progress to conclusion \n
- If required will potentially travel to assist with customer visits to chase sales opportunities and to provide product or support \n \n
- Pricing & Commercial

- Make “intelligent” price recommendations to win new business \n
- Collate competitor and market pricing \n
- Recommend list price or list price changes \n
- Recommend discount levels based on market and customer type \n
- Pricing analysis \n \n
- Prepares formal quotations
- \n \n
- Formal quotations on catalogued product lines \n
- Coordinates non-catalogued quote request with Engineering, Production, and Procurement to establish delivery dates, cost estimates, material requirements, selling price, etc. \n
- Assembles all quotation information required, types, and distributes. Enters information in ERP system. \n
- Follows quotations and sales leads to closure. \n \n
Product and Application knowledge.

- Develops thorough product knowledge to evaluate customer needs and make appropriate recommendations \n
- Develops knowledge of our product applications to understand the end use of the product \n
- Provides application and technical product support \n \n
Performs miscellaneous sales/service duties.
- \n \n
- Inform line manager of any unusual orders or unique sales problems \n
- Report any changing market trends \n
- Remains abreast of sales policies and processes orders in keeping with such policies \n
- Promotes good customer relations \n
- Maintains working knowledge of export procedures \n
- Maintains working knowledge of dealers, distributors, price agreements and discount structures \n
- Maintain sales metrics to demonstrate progress \n \n

S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; or minimum four years’ experience in a technical customer service or technical inside sales position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. \n
- Must have technical knowledge/ experience, preferably in mechanical related products such as valves, pumps, etc. or similar. \n
- Preferred experience in sales, proactively calling customers to pursue sales opportunities and to support customer requirements. \n \n
