ROLE OVERVIEW: The role is fundamental to produce month end reporting of financial performance and position of group entities. The incumbent will review financial information, produce journals and financial analysis, improve financial controls and financial reporting. The role will require adherence to monthly and annual deadlines.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The group has trading entities trading in UK, USA, Germany, Netherlands, Singapore and Malaysia. Some duties are entity specific and some are group wide.
- Preparation of management accounts, to include:
- Revenue and cost of sales accounting
- Sales and gross margin analysis
- Staff and operating cost accounting and reconciliations
- Adherence to group profit centre and chart of accounts rules
- Ownership of entity level and profit centre level reporting, KPI and variance analysis
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with colleagues both within Finance department and stakeholders across the wider group to ensure sharing of ideas, best practice and resources. Attend calls and meetings as required. Be proactive in contributing ideas and implementing improvements to continuously evolve and improve. Proactively establishes and maintains positive and trusting relationships with colleagues within the Finance team and stakeholders across the wider group. Works effectively and positively as part of a team, offering solutions and support where appropriate. Works in line with PROFES values, and encourages others to do the same.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
ESSENTIAL:
- Qualifications: Qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Experience: Prior experience of working in a similar accounting role in multi-currency and group setting – 2 years minimum. 5 years minimum in industry role. Revenue accounting under UK GAAP or IFRS. High volume transaction reconciliations.
- Knowledge: Advanced management accounting – explain performance/variances. Group accounting, e.g. multi-currency loan reconciliations. Experience preparing and reviewing control account reconciliations and balance sheets.
- Behaviours and Abilities: Strong attention to detail. A positive attitude, being punctual and reliable. Ability to communicate clearly to clients, contractors and colleagues. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Ability to work effectively in a team. Ability to prioritise workloads and multitask.
- Other: Advanced excel skills (e.g. Pivot tables, look ups, sumif).
