It's about building practical processes, controls and governance frameworks that work in a fast-paced commercial environment.
We're particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have experience in recruitment, staffing or workforce solutions, and who understand the compliance challenges associated with placing permanent and contract workers.
The Opportunity
As Governance & Compliance Manager, you'll lead an established team and take ownership of how compliance, governance and risk are managed across the Group. You'll work closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, Technology and Operational stakeholders to ensure regulatory, contractual and business requirements are embedded into everyday processes and systems.
- Leading and developing the Governance & Compliance team
- Strengthening recruitment and placement compliance controls across the business
- Designing and improving practical compliance processes throughout the recruitment lifecycle
- Managing the Group Risk Register and wider governance framework
- Overseeing data protection activities and supporting strong data governance practices

- Supporting senior leadership and the Board with governance, compliance and risk reporting
About You
We're not looking for a traditional corporate governance, audit or financial services professional. Instead, we're seeking someone who can translate complex regulatory and business requirements into practical, scalable ways of working.
You'll likely bring:
- Experience in recruitment compliance, operational compliance, governance or a similar function
- A strong understanding of recruitment and placement-related compliance risks
- Experience designing and implementing operational controls and compliance processes
- Leadership experience within a compliance, governance or risk team
- Knowledge of UK GDPR and operational data protection requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- The ability to identify risk, challenge processes and drive meaningful improvements
Why Join Us?
This is a genuine opportunity to shape how compliance operates across an international recruitment business. You'll have the autonomy to improve processes, strengthen governance, enhance the use of data and technology, and create a compliance environment that supports growth while remaining practical and proportionate.
If you're passionate about operational compliance and want to make a visible impact across a growing business, we'd love to hear from you.
