As the National Account Manager, you will lead the strategic direction for our retail partnerships, ensuring the company’s brands achieve strong visibility, growth, and profitability across key retailers such as Boots, Space NK, Sephora, and other strategic accounts. This role goes beyond account management — you will take ownership of long‑term joint business planning, high‑level negotiations, and the development of commercial strategies that drive both online and offline performance.
In addition to shaping retailer strategies, you will play a key role in driving the execution of account plans and ensuring alignment with broader business objectives. You will act as the senior point of contact for our retail partners, influencing at leadership levels to strengthen relationships and deliver a competitive advantage. Through close collaboration with internal teams and ongoing analysis of market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour, you will provide valuable insights that guide decision‑making at the leadership level.

Principal Accountabilities- Strategic Retailer Management
- Lead the overall commercial and partnership strategy for key retailers such as Boots, Sephora, and other strategic accounts.
- Develop and implement long‑term joint business plans, ensuring alignment with retailer objectives and the company’s growth strategy.
- Identify and establish new strategic retail opportunities to expand distribution and market presence.
- Own the negotiation of high‑level agreements, annual terms, and commercial strategies, setting the framework for KAMs to execute.
- Act as a senior representative with retailers, strengthening relationships at the leadership level and ensuring the brand is positioned as a preferred partner.
- Sales Strategy & Excellence
- Own the sales strategy for retail partners, setting the vision and priorities for KAMs to deliver.
- Guide forecasting and commercial planning for new launches and key trading periods, ensuring accurate alignment with supply and marketing.
- Monitor category performance, competitor activity, and consumer trends to shape strategy and identify opportunities for growth.
- Partner with marketing to create retailer‑specific campaigns that maximize visibility, drive consumer demand, and deliver profitable growth.
- Business & Market Insights
- Provide senior management with actionable insights on retailer performance, category shifts, and competitor strategies.
- Review and challenge KAMs’ account performance reports, ensuring continuous improvement and timely corrective action.
- Anticipate market changes and proactively adapt strategies to maintain competitiveness.
- Lead strategic discussions with internal stakeholders, ensuring retailer strategies align with overall company objectives.
- Leadership & Team Management
- Oversee the execution of account plans by KAMs, ensuring consistency, alignment, and delivery against company targets.
- Foster a high‑performance culture within the team, supporting professional growth and succession planning.
- Encourage cross‑functional collaboration between KAMs, marketing, supply chain, and finance to ensure seamless execution of commercial plans.
- Manage, mentor, and develop the Key Account Management (KAM) team, setting clear objectives and providing strategic guidance.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Account Management within the retail industry, with a proven track record of driving commercial success and strategic partnerships.
- Prior experience in the beauty industry, ideally working with well‑known beauty brands or retailers such as Space NK, Boots, Sephora, or similar.
- Proven expertise in developing and executing sales strategies to meet company objectives.
- Experience in marketing operations, brand communications, and product launch support.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics within retail.
- BA degree in Business, Marketing, or Management; MBA a plus.
