Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations when necessary.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Address any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area, ensuring tables are set and ready for guests.
- Support catering events as needed, demonstrating flexibility in various roles within the front of house team.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Experience as a barista is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong and confident communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as required.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, is expected.
