Amore Complex Care are looking for fun and outgoing support workers to support a young lady in her 20s with autism. She loves music, arts and crafts, and has a busy routine in the community. Please note we don’t offer sponsorship, and candidates must have a right to work in the UK.

Role details

  • Location: Leigh
  • Salary: £12.75 per hour
  • Shifts: 12 hours either 8 am – 8 pm or 8 pm – 8 am wake nights

Responsibilities and requirements

Role essentials: Competent verbal and written English

Experience: Must have experience within health and social care settings

Meet the person you’ll be supporting:

I am a young lady in my 20s. I love listening to music (brass music which I play), singing, and dancing. I love performing arts and drama. I have learning disabilities, autism and epilepsy, which can affect my movement and behaviour at times. I visit the cinema, enjoy a pub lunch, and like visiting sensory rooms to relax. Noise can overwhelm me. I get along with people who have good communication skills, who are outgoing and fun. I have a good sense of humour and value good rapport with my family who spend time with me.

Team and shift information

  • Team size: I am supported by 1 staff member at night.
  • Shift patterns: 9 pm – 9 am wake nights and 9 am – 9 pm days
  • Training: Staff will receive a bespoke training course tailored to my needs.

Additional notes: We are unable to offer sponsorship for overseas candidates. Applicants must have proof of right to work in the UK. It is a requirement to provide an overseas police check dated within the last 3 months of being in the UK if you have been outside the UK for longer than a year in the last 10 years.
