Meet the person youβll be supporting:
I am a social lady in my 50s. I like to go to the caravan in Rhyl and enjoy living at home with my sister who is a big part of my life.
What challenges do I have?
I have a moderate learning disability, down syndrome and recently had a tracheostomy fitted.
What activities do I do?
I enjoy going to a day centre 5 days a week. I also love watching Judge Rinder.
What types of people do I get along with?
People who have good communication skills (and are happy to watch Judge Rinder with me!) I also am looking for individuals to support me who have experience of supporting people with learning difficulties and who have good clinical knowledge.
How would I describe myself?
I have a really good sense of humour, and once staff get to know me and I start to trust them, I become very affectionate towards them!
Where do I live and what is my house like?
I live in Hoylake in a house that I share with my sister.
MY TEAM
How many people support me at one time?
Staff support me on a 1:1 basis.
What shift patterns do my team do?
My team support me at the day centre from Sunday to Friday, 9am - 3pm, waking Nights shifts also available from 9pm - 8am. There are periods where I require 24 hour support, including respite.
What are my team trained in?
My team go through a comprehensive training and induction process, bespoke to me and my clinical support needs.

This role does not involve travel between multiple sites during one shift. Spend your whole shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their lives.
As a company we are unable to offer sponsorship for overseas candidates. Applicants must have proof of right to work in the UK. It is a requirement to provide an overseas police check dated within the last 3 months of being in the UK; if you have been outside of the UK for longer than a year in the last 10 years.
