Amore Complex Care have a rewarding, part-time position available supporting a young lady with autism whilst she studies at the University of Chester. Location: Chester. Salary includes paid holiday entitlement.

Shift Patterns

Shifts: long day sleeps 8 am–10 pm followed by a sleep shift.

Meet the Person You’ll Be Supporting

What are my hobbies and interests? I love knitting, gardening, and accessing my local community. When I am at home, I really enjoy watching musical theatre.

What challenges do I have? I have autism, and some conditions which restrict my mobility, so I sometimes use a wheelchair. I can get anxious quite quickly and need support with this. I also have ASD, ADHD, Tourette’s, and hypermobility.

What am I proud of? I have passed my A Levels and will be attending Chester University, and would like my staff to support me with this.

How would I describe myself? I am caring, fun to spend time with, and energetic. I get on well with mature, outgoing people who can engage with me about my hobbies, interests, and aspirations.

Team Structure

How many people support me at one time? I am supported by 1 staff member at all times.

What shift patterns do my team do? My team do 24‑hour shifts, starting in the morning, sleeping over, and finishing 24 hrs later.

What are my team trained in? My team are trained in administration of medication, autism and learning disability training, and complete Amore Complex Care’s mandatory training.

Qualifications

  • Ongoing continued professional development and progression opportunities by funding Health and Social care diplomas and NVQs

  • No uniform – wear casual clothes

This role does not involve travel between multiple sites during one shift. Spend your whole shift with the person you support, making the biggest impact on their lives.

Please note we don’t offer sponsorship, and candidates must have a right to work in the UK. Where required, a recent overseas police check (dated within the last 3 months, if you have been outside of the UK for longer than a year in the last 10 years) must be provided.
