Role Context

Amodal is entering a period where stability, credibility and continuity matter more than acceleration. This role exists as interim cover for an established commercial role, maintaining the commercial focus of the business during a defined period - ensuring client relationships are well cared for, opportunities are identified, developed and progressed thoughtfully, and the pipeline remains healthy, realistic and aligned to our delivery capacity. This is not a high-pressure sales role, nor a mandate to overhaul our go-to-market approach. We are looking for a calm, experienced commercial professional who understands the built environment, can engage credibly with professionals and senior stakeholders and is comfortable operating within a services-led, relationship-driven consultancy.

Role Purpose

To manage key client accounts and active opportunities for Amodal - maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring opportunities are accurately forecasted and progress smoothly, and providing confidence and continuity to both clients and internal delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client & Relationship Management
    • Manage key client accounts across asset owners, property developers, and tier one contractors, balancing relationship care with commercial responsibility.
    • Build and maintain senior-level relationships, ensuring clients feel well supported while Amodal remains positioned for future work.
    • Support account planning, identifying and nurturing appropriate growth opportunities within existing clients.
  • Opportunity & Pipeline Management
    • Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring opportunities are well-qualified, prioritised, and progressed with clear commercial intent.
    • Support opportunities from early conversation through to proposal, negotiation, and close, coordinating closely with delivery teams.
    • Monitor live opportunities, helping to remove blockers and ensure timely decision-making.
  • Commercial Judgement & Insight
    • Provide practical commercial advice to the CEO and Directors on opportunity value, risk, likelihood, and strategic fit.
    • Share insight on client sentiment, procurement routes, and emerging market needs to inform commercial focus.
    • Maintain forecasting, reporting, and pipeline visibility that is accurate and useful for decision-making.
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Work closely with the CEO and Directors to align commercial activity with delivery capacity and priorities.
    • Support clear commercial-to-delivery handovers, protecting delivery teams while maintaining client confidence.
    • Maintain CRM discipline to ensure continuity of information, accountability, and shared understanding.
  • Marketing & Sales Support
    • Support marketing activities to promote Amodal’s services and thought leadership.
    • Assist with sales administration, including tender submissions and supplier onboarding processes.

Experience & Requirements

  • Essential
    • UK-based, with a valid UK passport.
    • Degree-educated or equivalent professional experience.
    • 5+ years’ experience in a commercial, client, or account-led role within the built environment.
    • Proven experience working with large asset owners, property developers, or Tier 1 contractors.
    • Comfortable positioning and supporting professional services and advisory-led propositions.
    • Calm, credible communicator able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
  • Desirable
    • Established industry network and reputation for professionalism.
    • Experience working within SMEs or founder-led consultancies.
    • Familiarity with information management, digital delivery, data, or transformation services in the built environment.

Contract & Practicalities

Flexible structure: fixed-term employment or fractional consultancy considered. Working pattern and days per week open to discussion. Success will be measured by continuity, strength of relationships, and well-managed opportunities.
