Amnis Education are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist residential childcare provider supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse, exploitation, learning difficulties, and emotional and behavioural challenges. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a therapeutic residential home supporting young people aged 11-17 within a highly specialist and child-centred environment.
3S Adolescent Care's senior leadership team bring over 60 years of combined experience working with some of the UK's most traumatised children, supported by a multi-disciplinary team including Therapeutic Care Practitioners, clinicians, Quality Assurance professionals, and Independent Visitors.
As Registered Manager, you will lead the home with professionalism, compassion, and strong operational oversight. You will be responsible for safeguarding, compliance, team leadership, home performance, and ensuring exceptional outcomes for children and young people. You will work closely with Local Authorities, clinicians, families, and internal stakeholders to ensure the home consistently operates to a high standard in line with Children's Homes Regulations and Ofsted expectations.
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the residential home
- Create a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment for young people
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times
- Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Manage Ofsted inspections and maintain high service standards
- Oversee staffing, rotas, budgets, and resource allocation effectively
- Promote therapeutic and trauma-informed childcare practices
- Develop strong partnerships with Local Authorities and external professionals
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and quality assurance processes
Requirements:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Minimum 3 years experience working with children with BESD within residential childcare
- Minimum 1 year experience managing or supervising staff within a care setting
- Experience managing Ofsted inspections to a minimum Good rating
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, childcare legislation, and Quality Standards
- Ability to manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance effectively
- Flexible and committed approach to supporting the home and staff team
- Experience within youth justice or probation settings
- Therapeutic or trauma-informed care experience
- Counselling or team-building skills
