Spent years on the tools and ready for something a little less physical? Your electrical experience doesn't have to stay on site. We're looking for an experienced electrical professional who would like to take the next step in their career and pass their knowledge on to the next generation of electricians and apprentices. This could be a great opportunity if you're looking to move away from the physical demands of site work while still using the skills and experience you've built throughout your career.
You don't necessarily need to be an established teacher. We're particularly interested in hearing from experienced electricians who have supported, mentored, supervised or trained apprentices or junior colleagues on the job and would feel confident sharing both practical knowledge and electrical theory. You'll be helping apprentices develop their skills through a mixture of practical and theory-based learning in a supportive training environment.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Strong, hands-on electrical industry experience
- Relevant electrical qualifications
- Good knowledge of current electrical practices and regulations
- Experience supporting, mentoring or training apprentices/junior colleagues
- The confidence to explain both practical skills and electrical theory
- A genuine interest in helping the next generation develop
Previous formal teaching or training experience would be an advantage, but industry professionals looking to transition into tutoring are very welcome to apply. If you've been thinking, I'd love to come off the tools, but I'm not ready to stop using everything I've learned, this could be the opportunity for you.
