Amnis Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing residential care provider, seeking a Senior Residential Childcare Support Worker to join their dedicated team in Chorley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Residential Care Worker ready to step into a senior role, or an existing Senior looking for genuine career progression within a supportive and expanding organisation.
About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting children and young people who have experienced trauma, ensuring they receive high-quality, consistent, and nurturing care within a safe residential setting. Working as part of a strong, multidisciplinary team, you will help create a stable and supportive environment that promotes positive outcomes and long-term development for each young person.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and guide the care team to meet the individual needs of young people
- Deliver direct, therapeutic support to children and young people
- Work collaboratively with external professionals to achieve the best outcomes
- Provide supervision and support to staff in line with regulatory standards
- Lead and contribute to Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings (Clinical & Education)
- Support the Deputy and Registered Manager in achieving service objectives
- Uphold safeguarding standards and promote a positive, nurturing environment
Requirements
- Level 3 or 4 in Residential Child Care (essential)
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience (essential)
- Minimum 1 year experience supporting young people in residential care (essential)
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Desirable: Level 5 in Residential Child Care
