Amnis Recruitment is working with an established manufacturing business in Woolston, Southampton, and we're looking for Machine Operators / Production Operatives to join their growing team.
We're looking for people who are reliable, hardworking and happy to get stuck in.
You don't necessarily need packaging experience – if you've worked in manufacturing, production, machine operation, packing, assembly or a busy factory environment, we'd like to hear from you.
- The Role You'll be working within a busy manufacturing environment, with duties including:
- Operating and monitoring production machinery
- Feeding materials into machines and keeping production moving
- Setting up and making adjustments to machinery
- Packing, labelling and preparing finished products
- Carrying out quality checks throughout production
- Handling materials and production reels
- Weighing, wrapping and palletising finished goods
- Identifying and reporting machine faults
- Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
- Working with the wider team to meet production targets Depending on your experience, there may also be opportunities to work with printing, lamination, slitting/rewinding, bag-making and converting machinery.
Who Are We Looking For?
For us, attitude is just as important as experience.
We're looking for people who turn up, work hard, are willing to learn and want to become part of a good team.
Previous experience as a Machine Operator, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative, Packaging Operative, Factory Operative or similar would be ideal.
You must also be comfortable working 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
