A good secondary school in the Tameside area, are looking for a highly experienced Attendance Administrator to join their admin team immediately, on a temporary basis. This is a full time role expected to continue on a long-term basis. You will work 5 days a week, starting as soon as possible. The working hours are varied each day, between 8am – 6pm, Monday – Friday, term-time only. The school is welcoming with a friendly and supporting atmosphere. Due to the nature of the role, the school requires someone who is immediately available and who has the relevant experience to hit the ground running. The successful applicant will be confident, personable and used to working in a busy office environment. Previous school experience would be highly beneficial. You will be made to feel welcome by the existing team who are friendly and supportive. Ideally, you will already possess an enhanced DBS certificate. Duties include: * Working in a busy school office, sometimes acting as first point of contact for enquiries, welcoming visitors to school and communicating effectively with staff, students and parents. * Supporting the Headteacher and rest of the Senior Leadership Team. * Diary management, minute taking, organisation and coordination of meetings and events. * General administration support to the rest of the school. * School record-keeping and working on school systems to log information. * Handling phone calls, emails and letters, this may include filing, photocopying and other clerical tasks. * Distribution of letters and school information (good ability to write clearly and effectively is important). * Good teamwork. * Working in a professional environment.
