Job Summary

Amnesty International UK (AIUK) has a simple aim: an end to human rights abuses. Independent, international and influential, we campaign for justice, fairness, freedom, and truth wherever they are denied. If you want to use your skills, knowledge, and experience to help fight for human rights, you could be our new Campaigner – Everyday Rights.

About the role

The Campaigns team helps us achieve our goal by working alongside individuals and communities to build a sustained movement to defend and promote human rights both in the UK and globally. The Campaigner – Everyday Rights is accountable for running and assisting on our UK focused projects to protect everyday rights (such as health, housing, social security, food, etc.). Working with the Campaign Manager they will oversee discreet projects and initiatives as well as play a key supporting role in the development and delivery of this work, including organising in key local areas to support local campaigning for rights.

The role may be for you if:

  • You're organised and skilled in project management to deliver campaign activities, such as events, communications outputs, or local organising and have knowledge of how to bring about change.
  • You are a good communicator, and can build effective relationships.
  • You collaborate and positively contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • You can write, edit and develop compelling materials.
