The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Prepare metal components for coating by cleaning, masking, and surface preparation
- Operate powder coating equipment with precision to apply even coats on designated surfaces
- Monitor coating thickness and quality throughout the process, making adjustments as necessary
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble or modify parts as required before or after coating
- Perform routine maintenance on coating machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished products for defects or inconsistencies, ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
