We are looking for a Category Manager to take ownership of a core product range across the business, responsible for pricing, stock availability, supplier performance, and overall commercial outcomes. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants real ownership and accountability, and is comfortable working directly with data to drive decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- You will own your category end to end:
- Set pricing and maintain competitive market positioning
- Control stock availability through effective replenishment and planning
- Manage the full purchasing cycle and ensure suppliers deliver on time
- Build strong supplier relationships and manage any changes or disruptions
- Introduce new products, ensuring setup, pricing, and data are right first time
- Resolve complex supply issues to maintain continuity
You will also maintain visibility of risk and supplier performance, ensuring issues are actively managed and driven through to resolution.

- High stock availability with controlled stockholding
- Consistent supplier performance and reliable order flow
- Competitive and accurate pricing across the range
- Strong margins maintained
- Low levels of aged or excess stock
What we are looking for
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain, or category management
- Commercial awareness with understanding of pricing, margin, and cost control
- Confident managing suppliers and driving performance
- Strong attention to detail with a right first time mindset
- Able to solve problems quickly and keep supply moving
- Studying towards or qualified in CIPS Level 4 or above preferred
- Military background or connection such as veteran or forces family welcomed
