AMLR are currently recruiting for a Quality Systems Engineer to join a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation, supporting the ongoing development and continuous improvement of business management systems across multiple sites. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality or systems professional who enjoys process improvement, compliance, business systems development, and working across a complex engineering environment. You will play a key role in supporting standardisation, driving process improvements, and ensuring consistency of business systems and documentation across the wider organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the coordination, development, and continuous improvement of the company’s Business Management System (BMS)
- Providing group-level support to ensure consistency of business systems, processes, and documentation across multiple operational sites
- Assisting with the implementation, administration, and ongoing development of business systems and associated digital tools
- Supporting the standardisation of business processes, templates, and system-based working practices across the organisation
- Developing, reviewing, and maintaining procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation
- Supporting internal audits and follow-up actions to ensure system compliance and effectiveness
- Assisting with KPI reporting, data analysis, and business performance monitoring
- Supporting cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives focused on compliance, process effectiveness, and standardisation
- Assisting with structured problem-solving activities and corrective action implementation
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and operational standardisation across the business
- Supporting the development and structure of the wider business process landscape across the organisation
To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working within a structured business environment such as ISO-certified manufacturing or engineering environments
- Experience understanding, mapping, and documenting business processes clearly and effectively
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
- The ability to work with stakeholders across multiple departments and translate requirements into practical processes
- Experience or exposure to internal auditing, including process or systems auditing
- A solid understanding of process-based management systems and how business processes interact
- Experience supporting business systems or digital platforms such as ERP systems, document control systems, or similar tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation
- The ability to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities through data and process analysis
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and wider business systems
Desirable Experience:
- Experience using process mapping or visualisation tools such as Visio or similar software
- Previous experience working within aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries
