AMLR Engineering is working in partnership with a leading manufacturer of aerospace components based in Derbyshire who have been established for 30 years. They are renowned for machining, assembly, inspection, fabrication and sheet metal manufacturing parts for precision aerospace companies.
The position will be based at the site in Central Derby. Our client currently employs over 200 people at the site, and we are now looking to add contract support to the workforce to assist with the growth of the business. Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks (disclosure & barring service) may be required. Please also note at this time we do not offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Have experience working with various inspection equipment - Height gauges, Callipers, Vernier’s, micrometres etc.
- Able to conduct internal audits and provide 1st article inspection reports.
- Experience with NADCAP and working to the ISO 9001 and ISO 5001 Standards.
- Previous experience within the aerospace sector and experience of machining/ fabrications and treatments.
- Chemical and special processes knowledge.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Able to work with limited supervision and have good attention to detail.
Qualifications and Skills:
An Apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds qualification is desirable.
