Are you an experienced Inspector looking to join one of the largest independent global manufacturers in the UK, specialising in a wide range of aerospace production capabilities? Located in Basildon, Essex, dedicated to precision manufacturing, treatments, NDT, and repairs of metallic aerospace parts and finished components.
Key Responsibilities for the Inspector:
- Provide quality and inspection support across manufacturing operations
- Maintain rigorous quality control in line with business and customer standards
- Verify component compliance at all stages of production
- Complete First Off and Batch inspections and FAIRs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across products and processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on growth and development projects
- Uphold standards in quality, health & safety, environmental, energy and sustainability management
- Work in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 standards
Requirements for the Mechanical Inspector:
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Aerospace sector experience preferred
- Experience in a quality control environment advantageous
- Competent using inspection equipment including:
- Verniers
- Micrometres
- Bore micrometres
- Height gauges
- Digital Test Indicators (DTI)
- CMM experience desirable but not essential
