AMLR are looking for a Chemical Process Operator who are looking to join a leading aerospace manufacturer.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a precision engineering environment.
Key responsibilities for Chemical Process Operator
- Preparing and operating chemical processing equipment and tanks.
- Cleaning, degreasing, and etching metal components before treatment.
- Applying chemical conversion coatings, anodising, passivation, or other surface treatments.
- Monitoring chemical bath concentrations, temperatures, p H, and processing times.
- Recording process parameters and maintaining accurate production documentation.
- Inspecting treated parts for quality and compliance with engineering specifications.
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and aerospace quality standards.
- Handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous chemicals safely.
- Performing routine maintenance on processing equipment.
- Working closely with quality inspectors, engineers, and production teams.
Requirements for Requirements for Fettler/Polisher
- Understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of measuring equipment and quality inspection techniques.
- Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Teamwork and communication.
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science.
- A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or chemical processing (beneficial).
- Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or metal finishing.
- Training in hazardous chemical handling and workplace safety.
